Obviously I would like the majority to be opened maximized, that is, covering my whole screen. When these get messed up occasionally--which happens once or twice a quarter--the only way I've found to fix them consistently is to move them to a local hard drive, delete them from the SharePoint library and then move them back to the same library. Sometimes -not always- when I click a Word 2010 file in order to be opened the file is opened at my screen but it is about 2 inches high and 1 inch wide. Every video I open from the net or on my comp opens in a small window. Almost every time, when I double-click a Word file, or just double-click the Word icon, I get the splash screen and then the program opens in a tiny, 5X1 cm window, showing only the close, maximize and minimize buttons. Hi Jahawk We do however use quite a few different add-ins. The laptop is connected to a Replicator. I was worried about the Creating and Inserting Tags, but it looks like that might be addressed. I have used the cascade trick and it works well. This trick will work on any version of Windows, but note that on versions before Windows 7 you just need to right-click the taskbar button instead of Shift+right-click to get the context menu. I recommend minimizing or closing applications if you are going to cascade or stack windows as it will apply to all apps visible on the screen. I am going to talk to the tech assigned to my case today to gather some further info.
If you set the zoom to 100% and then adjust the window size to where you want it to be, then save the document, then next time you open the document it opens at the same size as it was saved. After installing the update, I tested by restarting three times and opening Oulook just fine not minimized after opening it , so it was maximized. . We have been experiencing a number of users having problems when opening Outlook 2010. The registry fix only worked until a restart was done.
