For such a simple tool the possibilities are surprisingly flexible and with a bit of tweaking you can get great results. Overall, the presets work from the get-go, with none of the plasticky quality you can encounter with some modelling software and no latency issues. What Line 6 cares about is people trying to use the discount without having any intention of keeping the hardware. And it gets even cheaper than that in case you can make use of the content delivered along with it. Which gets in the way a lot when dealing with native guitar recording.
