We all know somebody's head is about to be turned into ground beef or somebody will be on the receiving end of a dismemberment soon. Once you've seen Final Destination there's not much more of the story to tell, or twist, or reveal. It is also unusually dark, especially for a Pixar flick. There's not much to say, if I told you how each person were sliced, diced, smashed, crushed, impaled. Any film capable of doing this deserves some recognition! I'm not gonna lie to ya, i wasn't looking forward to final destination 3.
It was interesting to see the comparisons and links to other famous Superheroes through comic-lore. The actors who got training for this type of comedy perform it well but as with much improvisational comedy it never is that funny. Within that context you can't really blame the guy for trying to finish the job. He was also one ruthless bastard, I'll give him that. Personally, I morbidly enjoyed it.
If you want to see a more adult animated film, then go see The Incredibles, and enjoy every minute. Excellent ending though, it surprised me, I have to say. And thats why I love these films. I have to give the director Brad Bird a big thumbs up for this one. This one is just as good if not better than any other animated movie released this year and rightfully deserves its place among the best animated movies of all time. The cast is all around amazing, the fact that they are real life comedians really adds to it, feeling like there's hardly any acting going on at all.
Sheesh, if that guy were any more annoying then his name would most likely be Chris Kattan. Bob Parr voiced wonderfully by Craig T. I can't begin to convey how wonderful the animation is, it's perfect. That can't be good for the ego. It also happened to be way more brilliant than I could have hoped for.
During one particularly brutal scene a girl behind me let out a high-pitched shriek so loud that I had to turn around and make sure Chris Tucker hadn't wandered into the theater. It is a hard hitting film that is quite blunt about the entertainment industry, chronicling the lives of a group of improv comedians who become stuck in a turmoil when one of their members land a big gig. I would actually call The Incredibles an animated action film, because to be honest, I don't think there was enough comedy to call it an animated action comedy film. Basically, this is a story of a man encountering a mid life crisis and leaping headlong into it without a care or a thought for his family, proving exceedingly selfish and failing to see the good in his life. There is much more action and effects in this one. While I do love all the characters, I was left feeling like I could have learned so much more about Allison and Lindsay, both portrayed very well by their respective actresses, but not given enough time to shine.
Excellent, and once again, outdoes every short that they've produced before. This is a great film, one of the best of 2004 in my opinion. The way it ended, I don't think there will be another one. The filmmakers set out to ensure that the viewer, like a child at Neverland Ranch, is never at ease, and that goal is accomplished as each scene leaves the viewer nervously anticipating who is going to die next. Personally, I can't wait to see it again.
He's got a job to do, and now for a third time he's being kept from doing it. Heck, if I were Death I'd totally relish taking some of these brats out. Everything about this movie has a very concrete feel to it, even while looking like something you'd see in a comic book. I have to admit that I was laughing myself throughout the entire movie, especially with the character of Edna Mode who almost steals the movie. When a member of a popular New York City improv troupe gets a huge break, the rest of the group - all best friends - start to realize that not everyone is going to make it after all. At some points I could feel a big swallow coming up and a wavering adams apple, obviously due to the food earlier, nothing to do with the movie. Is this a case of Death playing a sadistic game with Wendy and Kevin, or is there some sort of benevolent life force that's trying to help them save their friends? All in all I think this movie is perfect and truly incredible.
Definitely with nods to The Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer and huge nods to The Watchmen. My only frustration were at the kids, and this was only because they were behaving exactly as real kids would. Boundin' was beautifully animated and wonderfully told. Every character that appears will make you laugh or intrigue you in some way. The bad guys weren't out to catch them as much as they were out to kill them. Don't Think Twice is a thoughtful film but not really a funny comedy of a New York based improvisational troupe called The Commune whose members have to re-examine their goals when one of them has been recruited to a Saturday Night Live type show. That being said, it does have truly amazing action set-pieces, brilliant voice acting, a fabulous script, wonderful characters and the animation is simply. Synopsis When a member of a popular New York City improv troupe gets a huge break, the rest of the group - all best friends - start to realize that not everyone is going to make it after all. Jason Lee made for a formidable villain as Syndrome. All in all, I can't recommend this movie enough. Not here, this move is perfect and well balanced, the story takes you along just when you are ready, and there were no points where I wished we could move on, or something could happen quicker.
