It's also the busiest Apple store I've ever been in and entering it requires similar training to Tough Mudder.
Seems like they are in 5-10min increments and definitely are available on weekends. So they are working on a new store. One employee went through the line more than once to see if anyone already had an appointment and helped them on the spot. Our Apple Store doubled in size a year or so ago with a move to another part of the mall, and I think it could double again size and staffing-wise and still not keep up with the demand. . I went to the Apple store at Eaton Centre today with a problem concerning my hard drive in my 2012 Macbook Pro. I've commented on this on the surveys they send out making it clear the actual Genius has been awesome, polite, nice, etc , and each time I get a follow-up call from someone at the store who acknowledges the issue and apologizes for it, but nothing seems to change.
All repairs come with a one year guarantee that they will work or you can bring them back for repair at no additional charge. Then the phone tech asks me to make an appointment for me. I have also since purchased an Otterbox protector case so I can be sure to keep this phone safe for years to come. I find that the staff is really professional. September 09, 2015 Their 'Genius' techs will do everything they can do to get around repairing or replacing your device. Once you arrive at the Apple Store, you will need to check in for your appointment. Not surprisingly, they revealed very little but what they did say got me the tip that I needed to steer me in the right direction.

You have to book a genius appt like any other genius bar appt. There's a new flagship store coming to Bloor Street next year. Yes, its often hot and smelly in your Toronto flagship store. Combined with the small footprint of the store it is pretty crammed. If there is a case number it is input here and it skips to the end to choose an appointment. You do not have to get it repaired right at that time if you don't want to.
May 01, 2015 Time for another store downtown Toronto store, Apple! Most services at the Genius Bar are carried out for free. They're knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Time for polite and competent Genius to diagnose: less than 10 minutes. That's what I do when Apple Store is busy. It's still under Apple Care warranty. We have one Apple Store in town, and the closest next one is 3 hours away.
Although they couldn't fix them the units can't be restarted from a full discharge , they returned the items to me with a temporary charge so that I can at least perform a full backup before they are laid to rest for good. Which makes any Apple Store in Toronto easily accessible. The courier sent someone to pick up the item, I provided Apple with her name; however, she didn't have the order number, therefore, they wouldn't release the item to her. Had to book an appointment and wait 6 days which is a bit annoying partially due to the 5s coming out during that time but the whole process was quick and painless. By 1pm I couldn't believe how crazy busy the store was.

But the Apple Store in Eaton Centre is definitely a fun place to browse and play around with new electronics. Don't hang out here like the other.
