I chose the Pontiac G5 because it looks great and gets me to where I need to go using very little gas. Fuel economy is great too, I rarely have to put gas in this thing. It is a disappointment for a car with performance pretensions.

They offer so little grip that they are likely to worry even those experienced in winter driving. All three electrical components failed after ten years. Such is the case with Pontiac's new-for-2007 G5, a car I waited for but never got my hands on. Genius, though Pontiac doesn't offer the feature on the driver's side as well — some others do. When Chevy replaced the Cavalier with the Cobalt, Pontiac declined the offer for a version of that car, leaving dealers without an entry-level model.
The enhanced traction control doesn't solve the problem. But there is no way to check the transmission fluid and u can't check the power steering bc there is no where to fill bc there is an electric power steering pump. No repairs and only oil changes for service. Conversely, hard plastics on the doors and center console are less hospitable, and with the large, heavy doors, getting in or out of the G5 becomes a challenge in tight parking spaces. Others find it is slightly confining. One con is that it doesn't shift until the rpms are pretty high.

The 2007 Pontiac G5 Coupe, like its sibling the Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe, is an attractive little two-door, with a nice rising beltline, slightly flared wheel wells, and a few styling cues where the headlights meet the hood. A friend recently bought one, though, and after spending an afternoon with it, I'm not sure why Pontiac is hiding this light, flickering though it may be, under a bushel.
